If you return or renew your library materials too late, you will be charged an overdue fee for every day an object is late. Closed days are not included. You can return materials in another branch library than the one where you borrowed them.
Once fees reach € 2,50 or more, they must be paid prior to checking out or renewing materials. This is also applicable to fees that are older than three months. Once an item is ten weeks overdue the fee will be raised by € 1.00 administration costs. Borrowing privileges will be suspended until the fee has been paid.
As a courtesy the library will send an overdue notice if materials are not returned. A reminder will be sent up to two times. Failure to respond to the second overdue notice will require the library to start a collection procedure. The costs of this procedure will be at the client’s expense.
