Always wanted to make music but don’t have the skills or instruments at home? No problem! In this workshop you'll learn how to use AI to create your own unique songs in just a few minutes by combining your own lyrics and musical styles using prompts. GizmoXXL will help you get started.  

GizmoXXL started out in 2024 as a joke, creating AI music for a niche YouTube channel. The joke eventually grew into a serious hobby, with around 30 tracks published on platforms including Spotify.  

In this workshop you will:

1. Gain a basic understanding of AI music as a creative partner;
2. Get insights on how to let AI music tools work for you;  
3. Add prompting to your skill set.

The minimum age for participation is 13 due to the regulations of the platform we will be using. The choosen language for this workshop is English, however, we can switch to Dutch at any time. Please note: Do you have a good pair of headphones and do you prefer to work   on your laptop or smartphone? Then please bring them along. Both not essential for participation but perhaps favorable.  

With this workshop Bibliotheek Bezuidenhout aims to bring a playful and exploratory perspective to the current discussions on AI. We hope to guide people as they venture into uncharted territory and discover the possibilities that AI can offer, without undermining the role of real musicians and artists.
