L.v. Beethoven, Fantasie Op. 77 (1809)
Saki Matsuoka (Tokyo, Japan) began her piano study at the age of 7 at Yamaha Piano School in Japan. She continued her study under Kazuhiro Yamawaki, a professor at Kunitachi Music College. After moving to the Netherlands, she continued studying at the Royal Conservatory The Hague, where she obtained a bachelor degree. Her musical passion is so broad that she has been giving both solo recitals and chamber music concerts in Japan and the Netherlands. She is a versatile musician, performing on various festivals and projects including Peter de Grote Festival (Aurora Festival), IHMS (2024) and the DNOA productions in 2024 including “Transformations”(keyboards) and “Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (continuo). She had masterclasses by Boris Berman, Elizo Virsaladze, Frank Braley, Igor Roma, Michael Strauss (chamber music) and Henk Neven (Lied duo), among others. Saki is currently studying for a Master degree of Classical Piano under David Kuyken at the Royal Conservatory The Hague. Her musical activities are generously supported by scholarships such as from Adriana Jacoba Fonds and Willem Mengelberg Fonds.
