Bring out the artist in you with this political cartoon workshop. Take a look at the Inktspot exhibition on the 4th floor and the European Cartoon Award exhibition on the 2nd floor. And make your own political cartoon under the guidance of Tjeerd Royaards.
Political Cartoon Months
In the months of October and November the central library focuses on history, drawing and politics. There are two exhibitions on display in these months with political cartoons, the Inkspotprijs and the European Cartoon Award. To let you experience what it is like to draw a political cartoon, The Hague Library offers this workshop.
At the same time there will be a workshop for children in Lab B.
Tjeerd Royaards
Tjeerd Royaards is an award-winning Dutch editorial cartoonist. He currently works for Dutch newspaper Trouw.
His work has been published by the Washington Post, the New York Times, BBC, CNN, the Guardian, Le Monde, Courrier International, France 24, Internazionale, Politico Europe, and many others. Tjeerd is Editor-in-Chief of Cartoon Movement, a global platform for comics journalism an editorial cartoons.
