Use of library computers and library activities to resume

Do you feel like relaxing at home with a good book or finally getting to see that interesting film? You are welcome to drop in and borrow something! But perhaps you just want to take care of some business on a library computer. Now you can do that again. The libraries will also start organising activities again soon - while observing the necessary rules to ensure everyone’s safety, of course.

To prevent too many people coming to the library at the same time we will be lenient in dealing with fines on late materials; library materials may be returned until 3 June without incurring any (additional) fines. If materials should have been returned before we closed, the fine which applied up until that time will still apply. However, the amount of the fine will not have further increased during the period that we were closed.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Borrow and return library materials
  • Reserve items
  • Handle membership matters
  • Work independently on a library computer and use the printer for up to one hour (60 minutes)
  • Attend activities with a small number of people - but you must book in advance
  • All the public libraries are open from 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm (12:00 - 17:00 hours).

Use of library computers

You may use library computers and print documents for up to an hour (60 minutes). The libraries will have a small number of workspaces available, however no support can be provided at the moment. You therefore have to be able to work with the computer and printer on your own.

Activities

We will be organising activities again. Naturally we will make sure that you can maintain a distance of 1.5 metres (5 ft.), while sanitising and protection measures will be provided. You must book in advance however, because only a few places will be available. Check the programme for a complete list of activities.
