Direct Dutch film club met 'Oorlogswinter'
Leer je Nederlands? Wil je je Nederlands oefenen? Doe dan mee met Direct Dutch film club in Centrale Bibliotheek Den Haag! Tijdens de film club kijken we naar een Nederlandse film. Daarna volgt er een discussie over de film. Het niveau is geschikt voor A1 en hoger.
Conversatie-middag
Tijdens deze bijeenkomsten krijgt iedereen de kans om Nederlands te spreken. Ook leer je meer over Nederlandse onderwerpen. Tijdens de conversatie-middag (vanaf level A1) kijken we naar een stukje Nederlandse film (of documentaire) en/of lezen we een Nederlandse artikel. Daarna volgt er een discussie over het onderwerp. Het niveau is vanaf A1. Registreren is gratis en kan via deze link.
Are you looking for an entertaining way to practise your Dutch? Join us for a new edition of Direct Dutch film club on Sunday, June 11th! We will be watching ‘Terug naar de Kust‘, a Dutch thriller. Registration is completely free (registration is required).This is a great opportunity to improve your Dutch conversational skills. During the event, we will watch the movie and discuss it in small groups, which usually ends in a group discussion. Our aim is to encourage everyone to speak Dutch on their own level.The program is suitable for anyone with an elementary knowledge of Dutch (A1/A2) who would like to engage in Dutch culture and build on his or her conversation skills in a fun way.
Oorlogswinter
‘Oorlogswinter’ is een film van Martin Koolhoven gebaseerd op het boek van Jan Terlouw uit 1972. Oorlogswinter gaat over een 15-jarige jongen, Michiel, die de Nederlandse Hongerwinter van 1944 meemaakt. Zijn oom Ben maakt deel uit van het Nederlandse verzet. Michiel wil daar graag bij betrokken zijn, maar dat mag niet van zijn oom. Op een dag vraagt zijn vriend hem om een Engelse soldaat te helpen, die gewond is en verstopt zit in het bos. Voordat hij het weet, zit Michiel diep in de problemen en er is niemand die hem kan helpen.
During the Upcoming filmclub, on Sunday 10 December, we will be watching Oorlogswinter, a movie by Martin Koolhoven based on the famous Dutch book by Jan Terlouw (1972). Oorlogswinter is about a 15 year old boy, Michiel, who is forced to become an adult in the Dutch famine of 1944 (the last winter of World War II). His uncle Ben is part of the Dutch resistance to the Nazi occupation. Michiel wants to beinvolved, but his uncle won’t let him. One day his friend asks him to help an English soldier, who’s wounded and hidden in the woods. Before he knows, Michiel is in a lot of trouble with no one to turn to.
