Pecha Kucha 20x20

Een Pecha Kucha is een heel korte presentatie van 20 slides. Elke slide wordt door een spreker in 20 seconden behandeld. Iedere week kun je luisteren naar 3 verschillende creatieven die allen op hun eigen manier bezig zijn met AI-technologie. Natuurlijk kun je na elke presentatie je vragen stellen. Mediakunstenaar Roos Groothuizen, multimedia maker Derk Over en onderzoeker Coert van Gemeren praten over ethische keuzes bij het gebruik van technologie en hoe AI helpt met het creëren van toekomstige esthetiek. 
 
Donderdag 15 juni, 12.00 - 13.00 uur, studio B (verdieping 1) 
Kunstenaar en AV-designer Anna Fehres, kunstenaar en Phd kandidaat Cyan Bae en muzikant Rafaele Andrade praten over AI en emotie, en het samenbrengen van de digitale en fysieke wereld.

Interdisciplinair kunstenaar Nikzad Arabshahi, ontwerper Tom Vincentie en AI specialist Daan Alkemade vertellen over de manier waarop je samenwerkt met AI en de digitalisering van jezelf.

the digital and physical worlds.

Anna Fehres

Anne Fehres is een audiovisueel ontwerper en beeldend
kunstenaar die werkt aan interdisciplinaire projecten gebaseerd op onderzoek
naar sociale onderwerpen. Haar projecten nemen de vorm aan van fotografie,
geluidsontwerp, film, textielontwerp en videokunstinstallaties. Anne's werk is
vaak locatiespecifiek, samenwerkend en resoneert sterk met de gemeenschap
waarin ze werkt. Haar werk verkent vaak de thema's identiteit, geheugen en
geschiedenis. Ze neemt deel aan en reflecteert door middel van haar werk over sociaal-ecologische
onderwerpen om verhalen te vertellen en een rol te creëren voor zichzelf om
levendige gemeenschappen op te bouwen en een platform te bieden voor degenen
die over het hoofd worden gezien. Anne woont en werkt in Nederland.

Anne
Fehres is an audiovisual designer and visual artist working on
interdisciplinary projects grounded in research into social subjects. Her
projects take form in photography, sound design, film, textile design and video
art installations. Anne’s work is frequently site-specific, collaborative and
resonates strongly with the community she works in. Her work often explores the
themes of identity, memory and history. She participates and reflects through
her work on socio-ecological subjects, to tell stories and to create a role for
herself in order to help build vibrant communities and provide a platform for
those overlooked. Anne lives and works in The Netherlands.

Rafaele Andrade

Rafaele Andrade is een componist en performer op het
gebied van experimentele muziek. Ze heeft haar eigen snaarinstrument, Knurl,
ontworpen en heeft opgetreden in heel Latijns-Amerika en Europa in locaties
zoals Koninklijk Theater Carré (NL), Chigiana Muziekfestival (IT), Morphine
Records (DE), Gaudeamus (NL). Haar artistieke praktijk heeft zich gericht op
het vinden van een gevoel van momentum-vakmanschap voor muziekcompositie en
artistieke identiteit door middel van het creëren van haar eigen instrument,
terwijl ze werkt aan projecten en kunstwerken die sociale transformatie en
milieubewustzijn onthullen. Ze is lid van Netherlands coding Live (NL), iii
workspace (NL) en onderzoeksmedewerker bij het intelligent instruments lab
(IS). Ze woont momenteel in Den Haag, Nederland.

Rafaele Andrade is a composer and performer in the field of experimental music. She designed her own
string-based instrument, Knurl, and has performed across Latin America and
Europe in venues such as Royal Theater Carré (NE), Chigiana Music Festival
(IT), Morphine records (DE), Gaudeamus (NL). Her artistic practice has focused
on finding a sense of momentum-craftsmanship for music composition and artistic
identity through the creation of her own instrument, while working on projects
and artwork that reveals social transformation and environmental awareness. She
is a member of Netherlands coding Live (NL),  iii workspace ( NL), and
researcher associate at the intelligent instruments lab (IS). She is currently
living in the Hague, The Netherlands.

Cyan Bae

Cyan Bae is een bekroonde kunstenaar-filmmaker en
onderzoeker gevestigd in Nederland. Momenteel is zij promovendus in de
Internationale Politieke Sociologie aan het Instituut voor Politieke
Wetenschappen van de Universiteit Leiden. Haar onderzoek richt zich op de
algoritmische governance en weerstand rond affectieve computing-technologieën
op het gebied van veiligheid. Dit onderzoek maakt deel uit van het door ERC
gefinancierde project The Algorithmic Security Politics of Computer Vision
(Security Vision). Haar nieuwste film Dear Chaemin is vertoond en bekroond op
internationale filmfestivals. Ze is ook medeoprichter van First Cut.

Cyan Bae is an award-winning artist-filmmaker and researcher based in the
Netherlands. Currently she is a PhD candidate in International Political
Sociology at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University. Her
research focuses on the algorithmic governance and resistance around affective
computing technologies in the field of security. This research is part of the
ERC funded project The Algorithmic Security Politics of Computer Vision
(Security Vision). Her latest film Dear Chaemin has been screened and
awarded at inter/national film festivals. She is also a co-founder of First
Cut.
